Big Spring ISD Public Meeting

Purpose:
The purpose of the Big Spring ISD public meetings is to gather public input on the effective operation and performance of the Big Spring ISD special education program through one or more community focus groups that address a set of pre-determined questions.

The specific purposes of the meeting are to:

1) conduct a needs assessment and gather feedback from community stakeholders on the operation of the special education program;

2) identify areas in need of improvement;

3) evaluate the results of the local needs assessment and stakeholder feedback relative to information gained through the local review of student and program data; and

4) develop a continuous improvement plan (CIP) detailing results, measures, activities, resources, timelines, and follow-up activities related to the review.

Input from the public meetings and from the DAS analysis team can be viewed and downloaded in PDF format. BSISD will develop a continuous improvement plan from this input to better serve our students in special education.
